Hankook Tire Europe Technical Center
Hankook Tire Europe Technical Center (ETC) based in Hanover, Germany is one of Hankook Tire’s five global R&D centers (along with Korea, United States, Japan, China) and is responsible for the development and testing of tire solutions for European road conditions - working together with premium European vehicle manufacturers. Indoor test operations and quality control for European tire production in Hungary are also controlled by ETC.
The following full-time position is to be filled from now at our ETC in Hanover, Germany:
Supercar OE Tire Development Engineer (m/f/d) at our ETC in Hanover, Germany.
Technical contact with our customers in the automotive industry
Cooperation with our R&D Center in South Korea
Development of quality, performance and cost wise competitive supercar tires for European OE customers in consideration with the customers’ requirements.
Ensuring Gate-process (from P-Gate to M-Gate and mass production specification)
and monitoring of the development process up to market launch
Permanent check and alignment of the experimental tire performance results with the given requirements of the customers and set up of the necessary development tire specifications.
Supporting the whole industrialization process of the technical approved tires into mass production
Set up related benchmark for the projects
Ensure a transparent information exchange with R&D teams’ members, production plants and Hanover Office account management.
Regular reporting on the OE projects status and progress.
Representation of Hankook internal project interests during joint tests with customers.
Collaboration in general R&D-run technology projects and in ETC internal issues.
Degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
Deep knowledge of tire technology
Minimum 5 years of experience in the development of high end OE tires or supercar tires
Communication and teamwork in an international work environment
Independent functioning, a high load capacity and flexibility
Willingness to regularly travel abroad
English language, both spoken and written; German and/or Italian would be beneficial
