Long Distance for Highway, Comfortable Road Condition, Maximum Mileage Long haul segment tires operating on long distance are designed to endure long-distance, high-speed travel (mostly linear driving maneuvers). For these products, belt durability is one of the most important features so that the models can endure heat buildup resulting from long-distance, high-speed driving.
Medium Distance for local Road Condition, Optimal Long Tread Life Regional haul models are designed for mid- to long-distance travel that is usually covered within a day. The models feature the greatest variety of driving conditions as well as the most varied vehicle type, travel speed, and deadweight tonnage.
City Bus, Urban Traffic City traffic segment models are used mostly within city premises with shorter travel distance. The repeated travel in/between section(s) involves frequent and multiple stop or stop and go motions, making the tires particularly vulnerable to abrasion.
Mixed Service, Off Road
On & Off, Construction Used primarily in construction or building sites, on & off segment models are designed for shorter travel distance and sometimes divided into on & off (with off road ratio of less than 10%) and off (with off road ratio of 10% or higher) road categories. On & off tires are used mostly for dump trucks that drive rather slowly.
Mud & Snow
Snow Winter segment models have reinforced the snow/ice traction feature of ordinary regional haul segment products. The models are divided into several groups according to each region’s snowfall and snow properties. As such, various usages are available according to the regional preferences.
