  • Employee Relations Specialist

I. Job Purpose 

Leads HR Employee Relations Team (day or night) to actively participate in establishing positive employee relations within the company. This includes being actively involved with developing and maintaining employee relation activities , policies and procedures. This role is to evolve into a force for continuous improvement of employee morale while maintaining orderly utilization of human capital to ensure Company policies and procedures are adhered to. 

II. Key Accountabilities 

- Leads the interpretation and implementation of established human resources policies and procedures throughout the company 

- Leads the overall direction of the company employee relations, training programs and ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity regulations

- Maintains government contacts and up-to-date information on regulations and laws affecting employee relations

- Analyze issues of absenteeism, leave status, consistent policy application, safety, productivity, etc. to determine employee relations climate and to drive approved recommendations for improvement. 

- Leads and drives the development and coordination of programs and plans to improve employee morale and ensure employee involvement

- Comply with and actively support the health and safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures of the Company 

- Must operate as an advocate for both employees and the Company consistent with Company policies, external laws and regulations 

- Helps with recruiting processes when needed

III. Job Qualifications 

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or technical filed required 

- Certification preferred 

- 5+ years of Human Resources/ER experience in a manufacturing environment 

- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite

- Employee relations investigation experience 

- Must be willing and able to work day or night shift, weekends  and extended hours as company requires
