Hankook Tire Named As Finalist for SABRE Award

Hankook Tire and Brodeur Partners among top 5 recognized companies in Automotive category

Wayne, NJ - March 30, 2015 - Hankook Tire America Corp. today announced it is a finalist for the 2015 North America SABRE Awards for its public relations and social media activities to support its Formula Drift racing sponsorship. Hankook Tire was selected as one of five finalists in the “Automotive” industry sector for its “Hankook Speeds Ahead with Formula Drift Sponsorship” campaign.

The campaign, developed by Hankook Tire along with its public relations and social media agency Brodeur Partners, was designed to engage a broader audience by bringing the Hankook Tire-sponsored Formula Drift motorsports event experience to its fans through social and traditional media. Formula Drift is a competitive motorsport series involving professional drivers maneuvering their high-powered cars into well executed, controlled sideways slides at high speeds through a marked course.

The integrated campaign implemented by Hankook and Brodeur included social media promotions and contests offering their social audience a chance to win a trip to Formula Drift events, as well as a number of traditional initiatives offering compelling feature story angles to media in an effort to optimize brand engagement and attract brand advocates.

Hankook also stands among four other brands in the SABRE Award automotive category, including Audi, Michelin Tire, Toyota, and Valvoline. The shortlist of Award finalists includes close to 300 campaigns, selected from among more than 2,000 entries in this year's competition. Entries were evaluated by a jury of more than 40 industry leaders, and Hankook was recognized for its superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement.

The SABRE Award winners will be announced on May 5 in New York.
